What Does this MRI Test Result Mean?

sir

my MRI report says

diffusebulge and a focalleft central protrusionof L4_5 discabutting bilateralexiting L4 nerve roots and impinging theleft L5 traversing nerve root

i wish to know whether physiotherapy like Tens etc and a few exercises are going to help me. I am 55 years old and facing the prioblem since last six monthes.

Welcome to health care magic.

1.There is a disc between the vertebral bodies helps as a shock absorber effect, the disc contains maximum percentage of water, due to degenerative changes when the water content / hydration is lost the disc slips / bulges.
2.There is disc bulge at level of L4-5 causing pressure effect on the nerve root.
3.In this case the first line of treatment include exercise first followed by physiotherapy.
4.Yes it will help in any age, you can try, even yoga for back pain is helpful.
5.In final stage if nothing works operative / intervention are the treatment of choice. Good luck.
